Sorry to say it but the MorphOS devpackage won't make it this month. The main reason for the delay is that Frank Mariak's CyberstormPPC died end of 1999 and only after the 2nd send/resend procedure Phase5 found out that it's unrepairable broken.(Pads for the ppc ballgrid array seem to be burned/glued) He got a new PPC board today from me so he can continue working on native cybergfx since today....but that was a loss of 1 month on his side. And as Frank and I agreed on not releasing anything until cybergfx is completely native we have this delay. Another issue is that the ppc.library and full elf integration isn't completed yet which we need to able to create amiga library replacements in elf format. But all that is only a matter of this week. Writing docs and example code for the new execppc additions is also not complete....code for a device and library frame work is needed for the dev package. Now to the positive things.... The emulation itself got a lot more usable the last month after fixing a nasty problem in the execppc scheduler which caused some deadlock glitches. We found out the reason for some mysterious vector imageclass problem related to the blitter. The symbios 770 cybppc.device is now 100% native which showed that porting existing lowlevel amiga devices is possible and doesn't even require that much effort if you know how to do it. All that will help for finishing the native cybergfx. A lot internal structure changes which took real time.... I managed to compile an amiga gcc 2.95.2 for the dev package...so at least the compiler thing is no issue anymore. --- Ralph Schmidt
