Anti Gravity posts new Website! Joe Torre hired!

On July 25, 2000 Anti Gravity posted it's new website devoted exclusively to
the development of BoXeR systems. The site contains new information about
the history of Anti Gravity, the story of the BoXeR, Anti Gravity's effort
to purchase Amiga from Gateway and hints of Anti Gravity's future plans.

New techinical information outlines design decisions that have been made and
decisions currently under discussion. Joe Torre was hired to join the BoXeR
development team in bringing the new systems to market.

designed by the outside world...an "Ultra-Classic" that will enable genius
to florish like the origional did. Tweeking the design and mixing the best
of ATX with the best of the Classic, will empower BoXeR owners to be, once
again, proud they still use a, now even better, Amiga computer." -Joe Torre

Joe Torre:

The latter-day Dave Haynie, Joe used to build rockets and robots before Amiga
Inc. hired him to build computers. He quickly earned popularity among the
Amiga universe, onstage at the various devcons using terms like "novice
button" that only an Amiga user would know, buying extra Amigas at shows
(and presumably taking them apart immediately upon getting them home),
showing off antique 1983 Hi-Toro joysticks, and building weird contraptions
for levitating Boing balls. In mid-1998 he left Amiga Inc, when a shift in
the company's direction reduced the focus on hardware; today, as Clash
Bowley says, he is "actively doing nothing" in the best possible sense of

Joe's not "actively doing nothing" anymore!

Joe will be presenting a working BoXeR motherboard at the AmiWest show in
Sacramento, July 29-30, 2000. The motherboard currently runs code but the
display has not been finished making it difficult to show anything. Joe will
present two separate seminars, the first will be for developers and the
second for the public. He will present plenty of useful information.
