Vapor Team "heavy" .plans? :-)

View of Petr "-pekr-" Krenzelok:

Almost few hours before leaving for my few days vacation, I decided to write up some reaction to Vapor's recent .plan update release. What has happened? Well, my friend ExiE forwarded me four emails and then directed me to .plans part of Vapor Website. Hmm, interesting reading, except a few points, which I found a little bit missleading.

As for News service, which should probably behave itself as news service, and nothing more, I have simply another point of view. Czech Amiga News is "family" like news service, so we are adding our personal feelings, sometimes too skeptical, sometimes too emotional, but well, that's about it - we are not robots, just human beings, so don't expect us becoming typical news service, as it's probably not going to happen :-)

As for style of HTML coding, Vapor representative claims:

Uhm 8-) Isn't it ugly in itself? Gee, who found out something as ugly as HTML is? God, and the whole world is using such junk. I want my REBOL :-) Well, take it easy, we surely could optimise our website, but look - we are no HTML gurus, just trying to bring news to Amiga users. Regard Czech Amiga News as ONE MAN WORK! Yes, I come to help ExiE just sporadically, as I am involved in some others activities nowadays. Just imagine yourself coming from your work, doing some homework, and starting you computer in the late evening to bring others some news. It's just crazy and everyone should try it for just few weeks. Thanks ExiE for his great work, and many greetings to HTML gurus :-)

As for pirating something. Well, I think company shouldn't request registration from persons not using their products :-) I read email ExiE sent to Vapor. If someone sends me a keyfile and tells me - hey, try this out as it's strange, I will probably do so. So did ExiE. The keyfile was point him to the pirats.vapor.com. BTW: I know ExiE is using GoldED Studio 6 and IBrowse for his Czech Amiga News work.

As for strange results. Results are just results, nothing more. I don't believe it was ExiE's intention to give Voyager public put down.

... And gee, people, do you see all that smileys? ... so, take it easy, as do I.

Yours,

Just short notice from me (Paul "ExiE" Strejcek):

1) I've never claimed to be good at HTML, I'm running a NEWS page, not a HTML tutorial page!

2) Unspecified 'news file' from my HD was news archive from JULY 99 (http://www.realdreams.cz/amiga/history/7_99e.html) as I mentioned in my answer to Chris Wiles!

3) I never said the speed NOT increased! (The table show it does! :-)

4) To VaporWare lovely guys: Read my answer more carefully, please!

Regards,
Paul "ExiE" Strejcek
