Dear Amiga users, Amiga companies,
it's not so much less than a half of the year you can visit Czech
Amiga News page. Newspage, which test stage is at the end now, and we
are standing at the cross road now and want to tell you our decision on
"to be or not to be" theme.
At the beginning, we promissed to ourselves two things: wait for Cologne
(Computer98) show results, and second, having at least 500 visitors
daily to our news page.
Was Cologne show a success? While we have new OS partner finally
announced, we also have slight community split with new KOSH project,
AmigaNG is probably not going to appear next year, and situation
regarding Amiga Classic OS3.5 is still unclear. As for number of
visitors to our page, well, it's not the number we wanted. Now it seems
situation in Amiga land is not too optimistic.
But each coin has its two sides, and when we are looking back in time,
we can see many hours spent with Amiga, so much hours spent on belief in
the future of the platform, we can't and will not leave it now, but
rather give it another chance, in 1 year more continuation of our news
service.
When listing through the news we brought to you, we found out our news
service is covering the news in a quite unique manner, so we don't feel
ourselves repeating the work of other Amiga news providers, and its
important to us.
But remember all you can see on our news page is work of just two
people, spending plenty of hours in searching and preparation of news
articles every day. So excuse us, if you feel we could do better.
We know it. But it requires more people involved...
And so, quality of our news service is also in your hands, beeing you
just amiga user, stand alone developer, or commercial company. Think of
it. Send us some news to publish. You will not do it for us, but for all
the other people in our community. With your help, we can all walk
together towards beeing "Back for the future" once again...
