As a result, the new 1.9 volt 300 MHz PowerPC 750 microprocessor's typical power consumption of 3.4 watts is less than half of the 7.0 watts of the 2.6 volt version. The 366 MHz version achieves an estimated performance of 671 MIPS, and an estimated SPECint95 of 16.1, and SPECfp95 of 9.9. Will we ever see such chips in Amiga classic line of computers?

27.7.98 Another "strange" policy of Microsoft
As stated by Dave Haynie, Microsoft is switching from their proprietary .HLP file format to HTML. Everything seems to be OK, unless you recognize the new document format isn't normal HTML, but HTML with some Microsoft proprietary format and compression, only read by Internet Explorer. The result of such action isn't all that innocent as Microsoft could try to make you think. Merely every developer will switch to this format and because IE is not all that stable running under Windows95, you will end-up with Win98 on your desktop. The question is - who's going to stop them?

27.7.98 QD3D RAVE?
If you are asking if we will ever see 100% OpenGL compatible drivers for the CVPPC, Frank Mariak has an possible answer for you: "This is not sure yet. It's a time and resource question actually. Most of the QD3D RAVE layer is already done for the Permedia card since the P5 MAC card has been out for a while." and if you think releasing such library is just waste of time and resources, Frank's reply is: "Not really. The QD3D RAVE layer has been designed to accelerate OpenGL actually. OpenGL just sits on top of it. So doing a RAVE version of CyberGL just might be a 2nd step."
