Newtekniques magazine informed about resolving the lawsuit between Dr.Bernhard Hembach and QuikPak. It seems clear now, QuikPak will be forced to send all of its inventory to Germany, where manufacturing of Amiga4000 computers, based on the remaining parts and inventory, will once again begin. IBM presented new PowerPC 405 core technology, with compression capabilities reducing instruction code size up to 40 percent and so well suited for embedded systems applied in the communications, imaging, and consumer electronics applications. 22.10.98 Phase5 not beeing present at Cologne show
Now it is oficially confirmed Phase 5 will not attend Computer 98 show in Cologne, nor there will be presented new gfx board BVisionPPC. According to info from Phase 5 web site, the decision was made after discussions with dealers and also because of not knowing any other details of software, waiting for more concrete info regarding OS 3.5. Phase 5 remains commited to amiga as well and distribution of the BVisionPPC will take place at the end of November. Read more (deutsch).

But because Amiga seems to be still alive, the group of dedicated Amigans decided to start publishing new Amiga News magazine. 7.10.98 Ethernet Module for IOBlix
There will be 10Mbit and 100Mbit ethernet modules for Multi I/O card IOBlix. 10Mbit module has one BNC and one Twisted pair connector. 100 Mbit module will support 10 Mbit and 100 Mbit as well through one Twisted Pair connector. These modules will be introduced at Computer `98 in November and will be available for shipping in January 1999.

Larry Wall sees REBOL as just one more way to do something useful, but he sees also possible way for cooperation saying: "I'd want to look at how can we get them working together".
